This profile is for our daughter, Haseena, a little bit about us (parents) and something about our large extended family. My daughter was born and grew up in USA. She is 5'-3", fair and slim. She did her double bachelors in IT and Economics and Masters in IT/MBA from well-known state universities in the Northeast. She is currently working as a project manager in a leading healthcare insurance company. My daughter commuted to college every day and did not live in any dormitory while studying. My parents (Haseena’s paternal grandparents) were from North India. They settled in Hyderabad, India in 40's during Nizam's rule. They have since passed away. I (Haseena’s father) was born in Hyderabad, so was my wife, (Haseena’s mother). We were married in Houston, Texas in 1983. Haseena was born in 1990 in the USA. She is our second child. Like all families from our country, we also emphasized education. We believe that is the best inheritance we can leave for our children. A mix of academic achievement, worldly wisdom derived from Islam and our culture are sufficient for our children to live a happy life and enjoy it fully. We are not in any rat race and intellectual richness is more important to us than any other form of wealth. Most in the family (includes extended family and a large one) are doctors, engineers, pharmacists, lawyers, entrepreneurs. We are mostly conservative religiously and liberal socially. Core Islamic and cultural values are followed without any exception. Parental respect is one of them and therefore, we, as parents, are writing this profile on behalf of our daughter. Marriage is also a union of two families. Hence, the details about our background. I am an engineer educated in India as well as in the US and I have my own small IT / tech. support business since the year 1999 with an office in Hyderabad, India. My wife is a homemaker, fairly educated and a tremendous help in every aspect of our lives, nothing unique here, as most families’ mothers are. Haseena had been working for this family business as and when she found time. She now has a job (career in IT / Management). Several female members in our extended family are career oriented but quite a few are homemakers as well. Whether they work or stay home, they are all educated. To describe my daughter more, she is articulate, well spoken, well read, good looking, and good sense of humor and has great inter-personal skills. I believe her maturity far surpasses that of her peers. She has plenty of cousins and grew up with them. She was indoctrinated to discuss everything with her parents, be it social, educational, arts, culture, history and religion and just about everything that matters in our lives in the USA. I believe, these discourses over the years have made her a daughter that we are very proud of. The reason we are looking for a marriage alliance for her is in itself a testimony of her obedience to her parents. However, she is also as independent as a girl her age can be, born and raised in USA. We are looking forward for a union of the families….not merely a daughter’s marriage.
