Hi, thank you for reading this. My name is Janak. I was born in Vadodara, where I grew up and completed my high school and university education before moving to Canada in December 01. I am now a Canadian citizen (0). I first came here as a student, received my Permanent Residency in 0, and later my citizenship in 0. A little about my background: I finished high school in Gujarati medium in 011, then completed my diploma and bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering in Gujarat (011–01). After graduation, I wanted to continue my studies, so I moved to Canada for better opportunities. I completed a diploma in Petroleum Engineering in Calgary in 01. While studying, I worked a few part-time jobs, and in 0 I found a full-time position in the oil and gas industry in Fort McMurray, Alberta. I have been working here for about . years now. Now, about who I am: I consider myself a normal person who was fortunate to grow up in a good, supportive family. My parents and sister are my biggest inspirations — they are kind, hardworking, and motivating. People often describe me as shy, soft-spoken, and humble. I don’t know if that’s 100% true, but if we meet, you can decide for yourself. I do care about the people around me — not only family and friends, but people in general. I believe it’s important to be humble, helpful, and kind because everyone has something good in them, and kindness eventually comes back in some way. I enjoy studying, learning new things, and staying updated with technology and the world. I admire people who do their work with full heart and commitment, no matter how big or small the job is. If someone loves what they do and it makes them happy, I truly respect that. Some of my favorite things to do are watching ice hockey, playing chess, going to the temple, hiking, watching movies, reading books, and traveling — you know, just normal things that we all do. Like I said, if you are someone who is kind, helpful, open-minded, who cares about people around you and loves the work you do — then you are already awesome and living your best life. I believe if you are doing all this, you will naturally have a genuine smile and a kind personality, and I would be happy to meet you and know more about you. I wrote this whole profile without overthinking — just honestly putting down what came to my mind in this moment.
